Summary
This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Duties
- You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration.
- You will develop, determine and interpret budgetary policies and practices.
- You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of the organization's programs and administrative operations.
- You will implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets and provide advice on methods of acquisition and use of funds to support organization.
Qualifications
GS -09 :Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilizing budget formulation and execution by compiling financial data, reviewing funding requests, and tracking obligations and expenditures using established procedures to support accurate budget estimates and proper use of authorized funds. GS-11: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing financial management work utilizing financial management systems to budget and execute funding in accordance with regulations (Examples of work performed may include generating funding documents, reviewing and approving procurement actions in accordance with regulations, generating budgets and related execution plans, and/or providing management funds status updates and recommendations) Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website:Financial Administration and Program Series 0501 Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
Education
For GS-09 : Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows: Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree OR Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree OR LL.B. or J.D., if related to the position being filled : https://www.usajobs.gov/Help/working-in-government/unique-hiring-paths/students/federal-occupations-by-college-major/ OR A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. This announcement uses the Defense Industrial Base, Major Range and Test Facilities direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service. This position may be require to work overtime. This position may be required to work or travel other than normal duty hours, which may include evening, weekends, and/or holidays. This position may be required to travel occasionally away from the normal duty station by mode of commercial aircraft (<5%). Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees. A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized. GS-09 Pay - $69,373 - $90,190 GS-11 Pay - $83,935- $109,122 If selected below the full performance level, you may be noncompetitively promoted to the next higher grade level after meeting all regulatory requirements, and upon the recommendation of management. Promotion is neither implied nor guaranteed. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
