Location: Warner Robins, GA 31088

Job Type: Full-Time, Contract | 8 Months

Schedule: First Shift | Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM-4:00 PM | 9/80 Schedule

Pay Rate: $19.35 per hour

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to join our team in Warner Robins, Georgia , partnering with a leader in the aviation industry.

In this hands-on role, you'll work with sophisticated electronic equipment and Electronic Warfare systems that are mission-critical to the platforms they support . From precision cable fabrication and printed circuit board repair to troubleshooting and modifying complex electronic assemblies, your technical expertise will directly contribute to the reliability and performance of essential systems.

What You'll Do

As an Engineering Technician, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Repairing, modifying, assembling, and maintaining complex electronic equipment and Electronic Warfare systems.

  • Fabricating, repairing, and modifying cable assemblies, wiring harnesses, and complex electronic assemblies .

  • Performing component replacement and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) repairs .

  • Repairing, modifying, and fabricating Shop Replaceable Units and Line Replaceable Units .

  • Performing electronic and mechanical assembly operations on modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, wires, cables, and related assemblies.

  • Working from diagrams, schematics, technical drawings, and controlled work instructions to complete assemblies and modifications accurately.

  • Creating initial layouts and using hand tools, power tools, jigs, and other specialized equipment.

  • Performing continuity checks on work in progress and completed assemblies.

  • Supporting inspection points in accordance with established quality specifications.

  • Disassembling, modifying, reworking, and reassembling prototype assemblies and subassemblies to specification.

  • Properly utilizing general-purpose test and measurement equipment.

  • Reading and interpreting schematics and wiring diagrams.

  • Identifying the tools, supplies, equipment, and resources necessary to maintain an organized and serviceable work area.

Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Current J-Standard certification.

  • Ability to obtain all required soldering certifications and successfully meet associated training requirements.

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and related technical documentation.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform precision electronic assembly and repair work.

  • Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

We're especially interested in candidates who bring:

  • 2+ years of repair capability experience , including fabricating, repairing, or modifying complex electronic assemblies, circuit cards, wiring harnesses, and shop or line replaceable units.

  • Experience working with controlled drawings and detailed work instructions.

  • Experience assembling and repairing military-grade pins and connectors , including use of associated tooling.

  • Experience assembling and disassembling electronic assemblies using detailed drawings, work instructions, or Technical Orders.

  • Hands-on experience with electronic test and measurement equipment.

Pay Details: $19.35 per hour
