JOB SUMMARY:

The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) will support and collaborate with the Observation Unit/Float Pool Leadership Team and the Department of Professional Development and Nursing Excellence to provide a framework of services that promote the growth and development of nursing within Griffin Health Services. The CNE will assist with orientation and onboarding of all nursing staff, including Student Nurse Interns. The CNE will develop and implement relevant competencies and in-service programs and collaborate with nursing leadership team in identifying areas in which education is necessary, including assisting staff with unit-specific processes, policies, procedures, workflows, documentation, and other organizational practices to promote safe, consistent, and effective patient care. The CNE will also provide ongoing education, support, and resources to Float Pool staff working throughout various in-patient units within the organization.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) is required--MSN Preferred

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

Certification: Specialty or education certification preferred.

Experience: 2-4 years clinical experience in an acute care setting required. Telemetry experience preferred.

Licensure: Current Connecticut licensure in clinical field

Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA
