Reporting to Systems Quality/Reliability Group Manager, the Senior Electrical Engineering Technician's primary duties are:

  • Programming MCU’s with proprietary software

  • Performing functional review of firmware programmed on MCU

  • Analyzing any programming errors and working with EE’s to mitigate future errors

  • Organizing and maintaining Secure Programming Lab

You’ll also be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:

  • Test, inspect, and identify Milwaukee Tool products that do not adhere to quality standards

  • Ability to identify symptoms of broken or non-conforming parts and investigate root cause of failure

  • Order and prep raw materials used for testing

  • Effectively document and present of data associated with root cause investigations

  • Proficient at reading, comprehending, and executing actions of work instructions

  • Comprehend electrical schematics, specifically electronic component schematic

  • Understand and utilize technical problem-solving methods to identify and inform of issues outside the scope of initial investigation

  • Operate lab equipment properly and adhere to all safety requirements in the work area

  • Hazardous voltage safety is critical in this position

  • Support lab cleanliness and housekeeping

  • Perform support activities of the Quality/Reliability team as needed

What TOOLS you’ll bring with you:

  • Requires technical education in Electrical Engineering as is normally acquired in 2-year associate degree, military equivalent, and supplemented by technical seminars or on job experience

  • An intermediate technician level of electrical circuit analysis is assumed

  • Candidates would be expected to be fully versed in electrical test equipment and basic soldering techniques

  • Strong electrical/mechanical aptitude, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities

  • Strong professional written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills

  • Troubleshooting experience is a requirement

  • Intermediate understanding of Microsoft’s Azure Dev OPS, ideally experience with modifying ADO boards and associated tools

  • Intermediate skills in core Microsoft applications – Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint preferred

  • Knowledge of digital Oscilloscopes (SALEA) is a plus

  • Experience with Python or Matlab is a plus
