SYSTEMS TECHNICAL ARCHITECT (Sr Systems Analyst) - Range 17 / NON Salary $44.10 - $65.18 Hourly Location City Hall, 632 W 6th Ave, Anchorage, AK Job Type Regular / Full Time Job Number 2026-00604 Department Information Technology Division Infrastructure Opening Date 09/01/2026 Closing Date Continuous - Description - Benefits - Questions : Open to the general public and any current Municipal employee. This is a non-represented position (no union affiliation) and is subject to the provisions of the Personnel Rules of the Municipality of Anchorage. DEPARTMENT: Information Technology HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm LOCATION: City Hall - 632 W 6th Ave, 4th Floor To be considered for employment, applicants must be legally authorized to work and accept employment in the United States. The Municipality of Anchorage is not able to provide any type of sponsorship, including Student Visas and Employment Visas, under any circumstances. : : High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, andnine (9)years of experience in the field related to the position. OR Associates degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or similar discipline, andseven (7)years of experience in the field related to the position. OR Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or similar discipline, andfive (5)years of experience in the field related to the position. OR Masters degree in a related field may substitute for the required non-specialized experience on a year-for-year basis. Must possess and/or obtain: - Satisfactory background check which includes criminal, education, and employment history at time of hire. - Satisfactory Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) background check within 30 days of hire. - Valid State of Alaska Driver's License and satisfactory driving record at time of hire. - Experience with Microsoft SQL databases, AzureAD, Microsoft O365, Network Appliance (NetApp), VMware vSphere and Horizon, F5 BigIP, Gigamon, VastData, and AD Manager Plus. Preference: - Microsoft Certification in MCP, MCSA, or MCSE. NetApp Certified Storage Associate or higher. VMware VCA-DCV or higher.
