Design & Project Engineer

The BAS, Design & Project Engineer is a key role in our Building Automation division that performs engineering work on Construction based projects with the goal of developing a complete ATC submittal package based on rough designs provided by the Sales Department, while adhering to the respective project's plans, addendums, specific job requirements and specifications. ATC Damper/Actuator Schedule (Size and select) 3. Select all required DDC components 4. Generate a complete bill of materials 5. Generate a complete set of project specific ATC schematic control drawings 6. Order components after approved submission is obtained 7. Identify and apply integration solutions 8. Communicate with the design team via RFI's to respectfully resolve questionable interpretations within the plan and specifications 9. Computer work which requires frequent use of hands, good vision, and ability to manipulate keyboards, printers, scanners, and other office equipment. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is an exempt (salaried) position. Travel This position is office based with occasional travel to job sites as needed. Required Education and Experience 1. Minimum 5 year experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS), HVAC controls strongly preferred 2. Experience with electrical systems, mechanical systems, integration applications 3. Tridium Niagara Certification 4. Proficiency in various types of controls applications, system networking and IT coordination 5. Experience with ACAD and Visio engineering software 6. Excellent customer service skills 7. Excellent communication skills 8. Familiarity with network configurations, 3rd party integrations, 9. Good knowledge of Tridium 10. Good knowledge of mechanical equipment sequencing 11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team 12. Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable) 13. Criminal Background Check, PA Child Welfare and FBI fingerprinting clearance required; other clearances as required by state/districts of job sites 14. DMV check 15. Pre-employment drug screening and random drug testing during employment 16.
