Senior Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations, month-end close, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate has strong general ledger experience and can manage multiple priorities while maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.

• Perform bank and balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.

• Support month-end and year-end close processes.

• Prepare financial statements, supporting schedules, and management reports.

• Maintain the general ledger and ensure proper classification of transactions.

• Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, and intercompany activity.

• Maintain fixed asset records and calculate depreciation.

• Assist with audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation.

• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.

• Ensure accounting activities follow company policies and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, and month-end close.

• Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and lookup functions.

• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with an ERP system

• CPA designation or progress toward certification.
