Staff Accountant – Aventura, FL

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations and month-end close.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries.

• Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger balances.

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Maintain schedules for prepaid expenses, accruals, and fixed assets.

• Support month-end close and financial statement preparation.

• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.

• Assist with audits and maintain supporting documentation.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of general accounting experience.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles.

• Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and lookup functions.

• Great Plains, QuickBooks and Excel

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to meet deadlines.
