Full job description

About Nox Metals. American factories deserve a supply chain that moves as fast as they do. Nox Metals is building it, along with the tools that run it. We’re a technology company in Metro Detroit supplying aluminum plate, bar, and rounds to aerospace and defense manufacturers. We use software and automation to supply metal to American factories faster than the industry thought possible. The role. We’re hiring an Office Manager to keep our Detroit workplace organized, professional, and ready for the team, customers, candidates, and suppliers who depend on it. You will own the practical systems that make the office run and provide administrative support where it creates the most leverage. This role rewards anticipation. You will notice what is missing, fix recurring friction, and create simple standards so important details do not depend on memory. You will:

  • Own daily office readiness, supplies, shared spaces, mail, and common equipment

  • Welcome visitors and coordinate customer, candidate, vendor, and team visits

  • Manage facility-service vendors and follow issues through completion

  • Coordinate meetings, meals, travel, events, and occasional company logistics

  • Support document, purchasing, invoice, and expense workflows

  • Maintain clear records, inventories, contact lists, and office calendars

  • Help new employees receive the access, equipment, and information they need

  • Partner with operations and people teams on workplace needs

  • Handle sensitive information and situations with discretion

  • Build checklists and routines that keep the office consistent as the company grows

You are:

  • Highly organized and dependable without requiring constant direction

  • Warm and professional with a wide range of people

  • Quick to notice problems and practical about solving them

  • Strong in written communication, scheduling, and follow-through

  • Comfortable switching between planned work and urgent requests

  • Careful with confidential information, money, access, and company property

  • Comfortable with spreadsheets, calendars, documents, and workplace software

  • Low ego and willing to own whatever keeps the team moving

Nice to have:

  • Experience in office management, executive support, workplace operations, hospitality, or facilities coordination

  • Experience supporting a manufacturing, warehouse, startup, or fast-growing team

  • Experience managing vendors, events, purchasing, or travel

  • Familiarity with basic safety, access-control, or facility processes

  • Comfort using AI tools to improve administrative work and documentation

Benefits:

  • Equity in Nox Metals

  • Company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance
