Full job description

Home Helpers Home Care of West Marietta is seeking an experienced, dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to support our growing non-medical home care agency on a PRN / part-time basis.

This role is ideal for an RN who enjoys working with older adults and values flexibility, independent field work, and meaningful clinical oversight. The RN will play an important role in helping ensure client care plans, caregiver support, documentation, and regulatory requirements remain strong as the agency grows.

Our mission is simple:

We show up. We stay consistent. We communicate.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial in-home RN assessments

  • Complete supervisory and reassessment visits

  • Develop and update client care plans

  • Assess mobility, cognition, fall risk, ADLs, and overall care needs

  • Identify changes in condition or safety concerns

  • Provide caregiver guidance and competency support

  • Complete timely documentation

  • Support compliance and survey readiness

  • Collaborate with clients, families, caregivers, and agency leadership

Qualifications

  • Current, unrestricted Georgia RN license

  • Experience with older adults

  • Strong assessment and documentation skills

  • Comfortable working independently in client homes

  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license

  • Home care, home health, hospice, rehabilitation, geriatrics, or case management experience preferred

Desired Experience

  • Experience working with older adults in home care, home health, hospice, rehabilitation, assisted living, geriatrics, or case management

  • Experience completing nursing assessments and developing or updating care plans

  • Familiarity with dementia, fall risk, mobility limitations, transfers, and activities of daily living

  • Comfortable identifying when client needs exceed the scope of non-medical home care

  • Strong documentation and communication skills

  • Experience providing caregiver education, competency support, or clinical oversight is a plus

Schedule

PRN / part-time with flexible scheduling

Anticipated volume is approximately 2–5 field visits per month initially, with additional opportunities as client census grows.

Whenever possible, the RN may join the owner for the initial client visit. If schedules do not align, the RN may complete the nursing assessment independently, generally within one week of the client’s start of care.

The RN may coordinate directly with clients and families to schedule visits based on mutual availability. Visits may occur on weekdays, evenings, or weekends depending on client needs and RN availability.

Compensation

Competitive PRN compensation based on experience and assignment complexity:

  • $175–$200 per initial assessment/service plan

  • $90–$100 per supervisory/reassessment visit

  • $45–$50/hour for approved administrative or clinical support

  • Mileage reimbursement for approved field travel

Service Area

Marietta, Powder Springs, Kennesaw, Austell, Mableton, Acworth, and surrounding West Cobb communities.
