Full job description
Description We are looking for an accomplished Chief Financial Officer to provide strategic financial leadership for a long-term contract opportunity in Meriden, Connecticut. This role will guide financial planning, liquidity oversight, and reporting accuracy while partnering with leadership to support sound business decisions. The ideal candidate brings strong executive-level finance experience, a hands-on approach to operational performance, and the ability to strengthen financial processes and business systems.
Responsibilities:

Lead the organization’s financial strategy, aligning fiscal priorities with operational goals and long-range business objectives.

Oversee cash flow forecasting and monitoring activities to maintain liquidity and support informed decision-making.

Direct capital management efforts, including allocation planning, funding strategies, and stewardship of financial resources.

Manage the month-end close process to ensure timely completion, accuracy, and compliance with internal standards.

Prepare and review financial reports that provide clear insight into performance, risks, and opportunities for leadership stakeholders.

Evaluate and enhance business systems that support finance operations, reporting efficiency, and internal controls.

Advise executive leadership on budgeting, financial trends, and performance drivers to improve overall business outcomes.

Establish and refine financial processes that promote accountability, consistency, and effective operational support. Requirements • Demonstrated experience serving in a Chief Financial Officer or senior financial leadership capacity.

Strong expertise in cash flow analysis, financial forecasting, and liquidity planning.

Proven background in capital management and oversight of organizational financial resources.

Experience leading month-end close activities and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Knowledge of business systems that support finance, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.

Ability to interpret financial results and communicate recommendations to executive stakeholders.

Strong understanding of financial controls, reporting practices, and strategic planning principles.
