Full job description

Specialized clinical technical professional primarily responsible for the ex vivo preservation of donor organs using machine perfusion technology. Operates advanced organ perfusion equipment to maintain organs' viability outside the body until transplantation. "These roles provide essential assistance to healthcare professionals in delivering patient care. Ensure the smooth functioning of clinical operations by handling tasks that support the diagnostic, therapeutic, and procedural aspects of patient care. Allied Health - Health Services professionals work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of medical services.

These roles involve the management and operation of advanced life-support technologies used in critical care settings. These roles are directly involved in the support of patients with complex and severe cases involving cardiac and respiratory systems where traditional treatments are insufficient."

Individual contributors with responsibility in a clinical discipline or specialty. Spends majority of time in the delivery of support services or activities, typically under supervision. Opportunities for progression outside this career stream are typically limited without additional education or significant training and experience. Specialty license or certification required which is acquired through training and/or experience. This career stream will be most commonly applied to patient care areas.

Requires basic knowledge of job procedures and tools obtained through work experience and require vocational or technical education. Works under moderate supervision. Problems are typically of a routine nature but may at times require interpretation

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist, or Surgical Assistant program, OR a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant health science field required.

Experience: 2+ years of experience in a surgical, critical care, or transplant setting required.

Licensure: See Requisition for Certification/Licensure requirements.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Job requires sitting/standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping/traveling, climbing (ladder, steps) and reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull > 100lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, fumes, heat, noise, cold, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.

The pay range for this role is $12.77 - $68.86 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
