Job Duties
What you’ll do:
- Annual Product Planning
o Conduct required research and business analysis
o Monitor performance/trends of key competitors & retailers
o Develop line strategies and launch schedule
o Validate with sales & international subsidiaries
- Product Development
o Participate on New Product Team
o Lead consumer research
o Generate consumer insights to drive new product development
o Direct Ideation and Concept development/testing
o Develop and manage 5 year new product roadmap
o Deliver annual new product sales launch and sales targets
o Spec new products (features, cost/pricing, etc)
o Develop critical path schedules
o Coordinate development/testing with contract manufacturing & suppliers
- Product Launch
o Coordinate development of packaging and other collateral material with Marketing Communications
o Support development of product catalog and marketing materials
- Sales Support
o Conduct product workshops at annual Sales Conference
o Provide ongoing product training
o Participate in key account calls when necessary
o Create derivatives/SMU’s and “special programs” for key accounts
o Actively participate in key trade shows
- Ongoing Product Line Management/Maintenance
o Track/analyze sales and profitability of new and existing products
o Proactively manage inventory (excess, backorders, etc)
o Assist in product forecasting and production planning
Minimum Education Required
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum Experience Required
5 years experience in Marketing/Sales and/or development of new products.
