As a Product Management Intern, you will contribute to the foundational pieces of our system, ensuring high-quality and reliable operation. You will collaborate with a team of industry-leading innovators across various disciplines, including software engineering, product management, and user experience. Work Period: June 7- August 20, 2027

Location & Schedule: This is a 40-hour-per-week position with minimum 4 days per week onsite in our Seattle office. There is no relocation or housing assistance for this position.

What You’ll Do

As a Product Manager, you’ll work on a cross-functional team design and build product features and capabilities. As

• Develop an understanding of a key customer problem or opportunity. Collaborate with other PMs, UX, and engineering partners to define and deliver a solution that addresses the customer problem or need.

• Data Analysis: Conduct basic data analysis, customer research, and user feedback synthesis to support decision-making and measure the success of launched features.

• Support Product Strategy: Assist in the definition and documentation of user stories, functional requirements, and product specifications for software features within the Sonos ecosystem.

• Roadmap / Backlog Management: Manage and prioritize a feature backlog under the guidance of a Senior Product Manager, ensuring alignment with overall product goals and business priorities.

• Use AI to work smarter. Apply AI tools to speed up research synthesis, spec drafting, data analysis, and other day-to-day PM work, and bring a curious, experimental mindset to improving your own workflow.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

Basic Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at a College or University with a preferred field of study in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Economics, or equivalent.

• Clear writer and communicator who can explain findings and recommendations in concise, plain language.

• Comfortable using Excel, Google Sheets, and Google Drive to organize and compare information.

• Eagerness to learn from people across teams.

• A practical, hands-on approach to using AI tools in daily PM work (e.g., research synthesis, spec drafting, data analysis), with enthusiasm for learning more.

• Comfort working in a lean team environment, where prioritization and resourcefulness matter.

• A collaborative, low-ego approach — easy to work with, takes feedback well, and eager to learn from more senior teammates.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on with AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini to build, automate, or solve a problem. Experience from class, work, or on your own

• Exposure to SQL or Snowflake, or just comfortable working with large amounts of data

• Coursework or projects in marketing, consumer behavior, or research methods

• A passion for music, audio technology, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

PROGRAM QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at a College or University, with expected graduation date of Winter 2027/2028 or Spring 2028/2029.

• Available to participate in our internship program from June to August

• Ability to work out of our Seattle office a minimum 4 days per week
