About the job As a Field Application Engineer, you will be responsible for enabling customers to use Nordic technology in a variety of exciting applications. You will be a key technical resource for our internal and external teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Create and present Nordic Semiconductor’s value proposition

  • Understand the customer applications and use cases

  • Work with Regional Sales Managers, distributors, and representatives to design-in Nordic solutions at customers

  • Respond to technical inquiries and provide solutions in a timely manner

  • Technical expert in the Sales team

  • Developing and owning key technical relationships with customers.

Qualification and skills

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar

  • Minimum 4 years of embedded software development experience with an understanding of embedded hardware including digital and analog circuits

  • Experience with ARM microcontrollers Minimum 2 years of successfully supporting customer product development

  • Experience working with wireless protocols such as Bluetooth Low Energy, Wi-Fi, Thread, Zigbee, and cellular technologies

  • Experience working with software to interface IoT devices with cloud software services such as AWS and Azure.

Personal Skills

  • Strong customer communication skills in English, written and spoken

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and work with minimal supervision

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments,
