Full job description

The Role Triumph ships a lot of cards. Behind that is a warehouse, a network of vendors, and hundreds of people running processes that should be automated. This team builds the software that makes all of it work, and we are hiring an engineer to help us scale it. You will be on a team of five building the software behind Triumph's physical card business: the portal vendors sell to us through, the dashboard that tracks our inventory, computer vision that identifies cards, and the tools Ops uses to audit and ship from our warehouse. You'll work full stack across our Go backend, React frontend, and React Native mobile apps. This team sits closer to the physical cards than any other engineering team at Triumph. Every card we buy, vault, and ship moves through software you'll build. A problem Ops flags in the morning often has a fix by the afternoon. You can walk to the Ops floor and watch it get used the same day. Please note this role is located in Mountain View, and will most likely be moving to Fremont, CA in the near future.

What You'll Do

  • Build and scale the tooling that runs logistics: vendor intake, validation, fulfillment, and third party logistics integrations.

  • Automate manual operations processes, working alongside mechanical engineering, to increase how much Triumph can ship.

  • Extend our computer vision system for identifying cards from a photograph, expanding it beyond its current scope to additional trading card games.

  • Build event and experiential tools, like the iPad pack rip we ran at Collect-A-Con, and help shape what comes next. This is an area where we want your ideas as much as your code.

  • Own and improve the internal dashboard and other internal tooling as the team's scope grows.

  • Work across the whole stack. We also maintain a few iOS apps, which the team built along the way.

What We're Looking For

  • 1-5 years of full stack web development experience.

  • Comfort with ambiguity and ownership. Projects here are defined loosely and you will shape them.

  • Fluency with AI as a tool, never as a substitute for understanding. You use it aggressively and can explain every line that ships under your name.

  • Willingness to work on site most days, where the operation actually happens.

Why Triumph?

  • High growth. Build the platform under a high-scale consumer product that touches gaming, finance, and social, with 16x year-over-year growth.

  • High agency. We let builders build. Blast radius is contained by modularity and feature flags, not by process and approval gates. Small team, real ownership, significant room for leadership.

  • High stakes. Real money moves through your systems every minute. The work is visible, and it matters.

  • Competitive salary and benefits. $400/mo lunch credit, healthcare, vision, dental, 401k, etc.

  • In person. Our team gathers 5 days a week.
