About the role

As a Service Line Sales Specialist (Insurance), you will make an impact by driving new business growth and shaping strategic solutions for insurance clients across our Integration and Process Management service line. You will be a valued member of the Service Line Sales team and work collaboratively with client stakeholders, delivery and solution architects, and the broader sales and account teams.

In this role, you will

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for client stakeholders, building trusted advisor relationships at management and executive levels, and lead high-level conversations around integration strategies, business process optimization, and digital transformation.

  • Engage in Request for Proposal (RFP) discussions, contributing strategic insights and shaping tailored responses, and drive efforts to secure "New Logo" business by developing and pitching innovative service propositions.

  • Articulate the value proposition of our Integration and Process Management service line, focusing on business outcomes, and proactively identify client needs and pain points across their core business processes and technology landscape.

  • Collaborate with product vendors across BPM, RPA, and Integration Platforms to understand new features and roadmaps, and recommend relevant products aligned to each client's business needs and strategic goals.

  • Work closely with delivery and solution architects to define solution scope and shape, acting as the liaison between the sales/account team and the technical solutioning team to ensure a seamless client experience.

What you need to have to be considered

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in sales, service line management, presales, or consulting roles focused on Integration, Business Process Management (BPM), Intelligent Automation (RPA), or related enterprise technology services.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to present complex concepts clearly and confidently to C-level executives and large client teams.

  • Demonstrated expertise in managing complex client relationships, handling negotiations, and closing deals.

  • Proven ability to engage in strategic discussions, influence client decisions, and drive business development cycles.

  • A foundational to strong understanding of the Insurance domain, including the core insurance value chain (Underwriting, Policy Administration, Claims Management, and Distribution via Agency/Broker channels).

These will help you stand out

  • Awareness of insurance digitalization drivers, including the push for straight-through processing, improved customer experience, legacy system modernization, and regulatory compliance.

  • Familiarity with hyperscale platforms (AWS, Azure, and GCP) and their AI and agentic AI capabilities within enterprise transformation solutions.

  • Understanding of how integration challenges (connecting disparate core systems, third-party data providers, and front-end portals) and process inefficiencies impact an insurer's profitability and speed-to-market.

  • Experience collaborating with product vendors on roadmaps and capabilities across BPM, RPA, and Integration Platforms.

  • Experience translating business outcomes into compelling, tailored service propositions for enterprise clients.

Salary and Other Compensation

Applications will be accepted until November 27, 2026.

  • The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 - $160,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

  • This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
