Taconic Rehabilitation & Nursing at Beacon is looking to add a Receptionist to our team. In this role, you'll serve as the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, and staff while helping support daily administrative operations. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Welcome visitors and ensure proper sign-in and sign-out procedures are followed

  • Monitor facility entrances and follow building security procedures to support resident safety

  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls to appropriate departments, staff, or resident rooms

  • Perform administrative support tasks including typing, copying, filing, and mail distribution

  • Maintain copier and office supply areas and distribute incoming faxes

  • Sort and distribute resident and facility mail

  • Maintain resident directories and mailing information

  • Prepare door tags, reports, and other clerical documents as requested

  • Assist with resident transportation and help residents enter or exit the facility when needed

  • Use the facility intercom system for announcements and staff paging

  • Attend required trainings and comply with facility policies and procedures

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • Minimum 6 months of administrative or customer service experience required

  • Healthcare or long-term care experience preferred

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Professional, dependable, and team-oriented approach
