  • Interpret and apply collective bargaining provisions while advising management on contract obligations and practical next steps.

  • Oversee grievance handling, disciplinary actions, attendance concerns, and workplace investigations with fairness and consistency.

  • Support labor negotiations and sustain positive day-to-day relationships between site leadership and union representatives.

  • Manage recruitment and onboarding processes for hourly and salaried employees to ensure effective staffing and a strong onboarding experience.

  • Partner with operations on retention planning, performance management, training, succession planning, and employee development initiatives.

  • Administer key HR programs such as leave coordination, workers’ compensation, payroll support, benefits alignment, and employee recognition efforts.

  • Track HR data including turnover, absenteeism, overtime, and staffing trends while maintaining accurate, confidential employee records and supporting compliance initiatives. Requirements

  • At least 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or a comparable operational setting.

  • Prior HR leadership experience supporting a unionized workforce is required.

  • Demonstrated success working with collective bargaining agreements, grievance processes, labor relations matters, and disciplinary procedures.

  • Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws and labor regulations.

  • Experience conducting sensitive employee investigations and resolving complex workplace issues with sound judgment.

  • Ability to build trust with hourly employees, supervisors, union representatives, and senior leadership through clear communication and professionalism.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field is preferred.
