About the Role: ComForCare Home Health Care - Halton is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Senior Companion (SC) to join our growing team in Milton, ON. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors by providing genuine companionship and supportive in-home care. Responsibilities:

  • Provide companionship and emotional support to seniors in their homes, fostering trust and positive relationships

  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, and errands

  • Accompany clients to appointments, social outings, and community activities

  • Monitor and report changes in client health, mood, or behavior to the care team

  • Engage clients in meaningful conversation, hobbies, and recreational activities to promote mental well-being

  • Provide respite support to family caregivers as needed

  • Maintain accurate client care records and documentation in accordance with company standards

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a caregiving, companion care, or personal support role is an asset

  • Genuine passion for working with seniors and elderly individuals

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient, empathetic demeanor

  • Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy with a professional attitude

  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle considered an asset

  • Ability to pass the DEARS (Drugs and Ethics) assessment.

  • Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking)

  • Current First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain

  • Clear criminal background check and vulnerable sector screening required

  • Comprehensive initial training provided.
