From payroll and retirement processing to leave, insurance, and benefits, you’ll help keep essential operations running smoothly while providing employees with the information and support they need to thrive.
An ideal candidate should possess the following competencies:

Following Policies and Procedures: The ability to follow, reinforce, adapt, or develop policies and procedures to maintain compliance with federal and state legal requirements, State Civil Service rules, and organizational policies.

Making Accurate Judgments: The ability to assess options, weigh risks, and make sound decisions using available information and logical reasoning.
Three years of human resources experience; OR
Six years of full-time experience in any field; OR
A bachelor’s degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field. Manages employee benefits transactions, including health, supplemental insurance, and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) processing.

Reviews and processes FMLA and parental leave requests, including eligibility determinations and related documentation.

Processes and verifies employee retirement transactions, including retirement-related forms and inquiries.

Conducts payroll and benefits audits, identifies discrepancies, and takes corrective action to ensure accurate and timely payments.

Processes and audits employee payroll transactions, including new hires, prior-period adjustments, leave payments, and employee deductions.

Maintains accurate payroll and benefits records and ensures data integrity between HR systems and payroll.

Provides employee assistance and guidance regarding payroll, benefits, retirement, leave, and insurance matters while coordinating with state agencies and benefit partners.

Compensation: This position is eligible for the following Special Entrance Rates (SER) for the job titles: Human Resources Analyst A - $20.20 hr / $1,616.00 bi-weekly Human Resources Analyst B - $21.61 hr / $1,728.80 bi-weekly Human Resources Analyst C - $24.31 hr / $1,944.80 bi-weekly
