Full job description

Description

We are looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to support technology operations and data-driven improvement initiatives in Honolulu, Hawaii. This position works closely with a collaborative IT team to strengthen daily system performance, assist end users, and contribute to long-term infrastructure and reporting enhancements. The ideal candidate is comfortable balancing hands-on technical support with analytical problem-solving and is motivated by opportunities to improve reliability, security, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day technical assistance for employees by troubleshooting hardware, software, and access-related issues across desktops, thin clients, and mobile devices.

  • Support the upkeep and configuration of core network and server environments, including switching, firewall administration, wireless connectivity, VPN access, and IP-based infrastructure components.

  • Administer user identities and permissions within Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environments, ensuring appropriate access, account maintenance, and policy alignment.

  • Assist with the management of virtualization and backup platforms to help maintain business continuity, system availability, and data protection standards.

  • Prepare, deploy, refresh, and document end-user devices while overseeing equipment assignments, warranty details, and lifecycle tracking.

  • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues involving business-critical applications, including construction and design software platforms.

  • Contribute to physical infrastructure maintenance by helping with server room organization, equipment installation, cable management, and retirement of outdated technology assets.

  • Identify and recommend practical improvements to documentation, security controls, hardware standards, and overall system performance as part of ongoing modernization efforts.

Requirements • Experience supporting IT operations in a business environment, including user support, systems administration, or infrastructure coordination.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Windows-based endpoint support.

  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals such as VLANs, switching, firewall rules, VPN connectivity, and wireless environments.

  • Exposure to virtualization and backup technologies, such as VMware vSphere and enterprise backup solutions, is preferred.

  • Ability to manage technical documentation, asset records, and inventory data with accuracy and consistency.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to prioritize issues and communicate solutions clearly.

  • Background supporting specialized business applications or cloud-based operational systems is advantageous.
