JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Summary: The Medical College of Wisconsin's Division of Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide primary or specialty medical care within the inpatient setting. This position is located in Milwaukee, WI at the Children's Wisconsin hospital campus. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team who will contribute to excellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching. This free-standing 306-bed children's hospital ranks as one of the top children's hospitals in the United States. * The Department of Surgery is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support the division of Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery the purpose of this position is to evaluate patients and render care, within the scope of practice outlined by state statue, within inpatient, operating room, and outpatient settings for congenital (Adult & Pediatric Cardiovascular Surgical Services located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at Children's Wisconsin, and Froedtert Hospital. * The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team who will contribute to excellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching. * The Ideal Candidate will be a Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery experienced APP with Agility, excellent communication skill, and strong ability to critically think wanting to be part of a thriving and very collaborative academic practice at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW). Areas of responsibility will include, but not be limited to providing direct patient care to adult and pediatric patients in a blended setting.
