Full job description

Innovative Systems, a worldwide leader in high-tech data management, AML compliance, and payment screening solutions, is looking for a high-achieving, detail-oriented Product Manager (reporting to the Head of Product) who wants to make a real impact.

What’s the challenge?

This role calls for a product leader who can turn complex customer problems into a clear strategy, an outcome-focused roadmap, and well-defined requirements. You will make evidence-based tradeoffs among user value, business impact, technical feasibility, risk, and delivery speed. Success requires strong discovery, stakeholder alignment, iterative delivery, and disciplined measurement.

Domain knowledge is valuable, but the ability to learn about a complex market and apply strong product-management practices is essential.

How will I make an impact?

You’ll define and advance Innovative’s data quality, customer sanctions, watchlist, and payment screening capabilities by setting product direction, validating customer needs, and leading cross-functional execution. Your work will directly influence the usability, effectiveness, adoption, and business performance of products that support secure onboarding and payment screening. This role is a great fit if you:

  • Are energized by discovering customer problems and turning insights into product outcomes

  • Enjoy creating clarity from ambiguity and making thoughtful product tradeoffs

  • Thrive at the crossroads of customer needs, technology, data, business strategy, and regulation

This is not a “sit in meetings and write requirements” role. This is a chance to influence product direction, work directly with customers, and help ensure that complex flows are executed accurately, efficiently, and defensibly—on a global scale. If you want your work to have really regulatory, operational, and customer impact, you’ll find the opportunity here.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from opportunity discovery and strategy through roadmap development, requirements, launch, adoption, and continuous improvement.

  • Lead product discovery by interviewing customers and users, mapping workflows, testing assumptions, and validating problems and solution concepts before committing significant delivery of resources.

  • Define a clear product vision, strategy, value proposition, and measurable outcomes that align customer needs with company objectives.

  • Partner with engineering, design, operations, sales, marketing, and domain experts to shape solutions, make tradeoffs, and deliver valuable increments.

  • Translate complex needs into clear product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and decision-ready context while preserving space for collaborative solution design.

  • Define and monitor product KPIs, including adoption, engagement, customer value, screening effectiveness, false-positive rates, throughput, latency, and operational efficiency; use insights to guide iteration.

  • Lead release and go-to-market readiness, including launch planning, customer onboarding, enablement, feedback collection, and post-launch assessment.

  • Assess market trends, competitors, partner capabilities, and emerging technologies to identify differentiation and growth opportunities.

  • Communicate product strategy, priorities, progress, outcomes, and tradeoffs to executive, commercial, technical, and customer audiences.

What do I need to make an impact?

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of product management experience building and evolving complex B2B, enterprise, SaaS, data, workflow, fintech, or other regulated products. Direct data quality, AML, or sanctions experience is welcome but not required. Success depends on product judgment, customer empathy, analytical rigor, and the ability to learn a complex domain quickly.

  • Demonstrated ownership of products across discovery, strategy, road mapping, requirements, delivery, launch, adoption, and optimization.

  • Strong customer discovery skills, including interviewing users, identifying unmet needs, testing assumptions, and synthesizing qualitative and quantitative insights.

  • Excellent product requirements and product-writing skills, with the ability to turn ambiguous problems into clear outcomes, requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and decisions.

  • Experience partnering with engineering and design to explore solutions, evaluate technical tradeoffs, manage scope, and deliver iteratively.

  • Experience using data and analytics to establish KPIs, assess product performance, measure launches, and guide prioritization and continuous improvement.

  • Familiarity with AI and machine-learning applications in workflow automation, decision support, screening optimization, or investigations.

  • Experience leading go-to-market readiness and collaborating with sales, marketing, customer success, operations, and support.

  • Ability to understand complex customer, technical, operational, and regulatory contexts and translate them into simple, usable product experiences.

  • Excellent communication and influence skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executives and customers.

  • Collaborative mindset with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and curiosity.

  • Ability and interest to rapidly develop working knowledge of domain knowledge and relevant compliance expectations.

  • Infrequent travel may be required for customer visits and industry conferences, representing less than 5% of total work time.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

It’s a plus if you bring

  • Product management experience in data quality, AML, sanctions, KYC, fraud, compliance, financial crime, payments, fintech, banking, or another regulated domain.

  • Knowledge of data quality, AML regulations, global sanctions programs, PEP screening, adverse media, or customer and payment screening workflows.

  • Experience with name, transaction, watchlist, or sanctions screening products.

  • Understanding of fuzzy matching, false-positive reduction, entity resolution, identity matching, or screening workflow optimization.

  • Experience using SQL, BI tools, product analytics platforms, or experimentation methods to answer product questions.

  • Hands-on experience using FinScan or similar data quality, AML or sanctions screening tools.

  • Experience working with external data providers, technology partners, or platform ecosystems.

  • Prior work in a regulated organization or exposure to risk, legal, compliance, or audit processes.

  • CAMS certification or another relevant professional credential.
