About the Opportunity An established independent insurance brokerage is seeking an experienced Personal Lines Account Manager to join its Norfolk team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with high-net-worth personal lines experience who enjoys building long-term client relationships and providing highly personalized, concierge-level service.

You’ll take ownership of an established book of approximately 300 personal lines accounts, with an average account premium of approximately $15,000. This is a service-focused role where accuracy, responsiveness, organization, and strong insurance knowledge are essential.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and service an established book of approximately 300 personal lines accounts
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with high-net-worth clients
  • Provide responsive, personalized, concierge-level client service
  • Manage renewals, endorsements, policy changes, and coverage reviews
  • Remarket accounts and identify appropriate coverage options
  • Work with multiple insurance carriers to address client needs and complex risks
  • Interpret carrier underwriting guidelines and policy requirements
  • Coordinate with carriers, producers, and internal teams to resolve issues
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely follow-through
  • Manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of service
  • Utilize agency management and carrier platforms, including AMS360

What You’ll Need

  • 3+ years of Personal Lines Account Management experience
  • High-net-worth personal lines experience
  • Active Virginia Property & Casualty license
  • Experience independently managing:
  • Renewals
  • Endorsements
  • Coverage reviews
  • Remarketing
  • Policy servicing
  • Strong knowledge of personal property and casualty insurance
  • Excellent client relationship and communication skills
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage a high-volume book while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work onsite in Norfolk 3 days per week

Compensation & Benefits

  • $60,000–$70,000 salary, depending on experience
  • Hybrid schedule
  • Medical insurance with company premium contribution
  • Dental and vision coverage
  • Company-paid basic life insurance
  • Short- and long-term disability options
  • 401(k) with 3% company match after eligibility requirements
  • PTO beginning to accrue on your first day
  • Paid holidays
  • HSA/FSA options
  • Accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity coverage
  • Pet insurance
  • Legal services
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Identity protection
  • Auto/home insurance and commuter benefits

Why Join This Team This is an opportunity to take ownership of an established book of business rather than starting from scratch. You’ll have a meaningful impact on client relationships, coverage decisions, renewals, and the overall service experience.

You’ll also be joining a small, professional, team-oriented environment where people know each other, work collaboratively, and take pride in doing things the right way. As the organization continues to bring its Virginia offices together, there is room to grow your career into senior-level account management responsibilities while becoming a trusted resource for both clients and the team.
