Summary

About the Position: This position is located at Desmond T Doss Health Clinic on Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Duties

  • Serve as the Government Purchase Card (GPC) Cardholder ordering officer following all standard operating procedures and adhering to all regulations, policies and procedures to make local purchases of required medical material.
  • Serve as a supply technician and point of contact for property book requisitions and expendable non-medical requisitions.
  • Serve as a Supply Technician providing the full range of support Department of Health Agency (DHA), DENTAC and Public Health command and satellite organizations.
  • Perform documentary receipt, transfer, replenishment, adjustment, issue and disposal of property book items and troubleshooting in the automated property accounting system Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS).
  • Provide management with guidance in the utilization of excess property, inventory reporting, resource sharing and redistribution of automation equipment.

Qualifications

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes preparing purchase requests by applying standardized supply regulations, policies, procedures or other instructions related to supply requisitions; and utilizing an automated supply database to purchase or maintain inventory of supplies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

This position requires a 1 year probationary period during which the agency evaluates your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest. Continued employment requires written certification that it advances the public interest. Direct Deposit of Pay is required. This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. Advance in Hire may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement. Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest.
