Part Time Accountant

Description Our client is seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on Part-Time Accountant with experience using Sage accounting software to support day-to-day accounting operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting detail oriented looking for a flexible schedule with a small, established business. The ideal candidate will have a solid accounting foundation, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while ensuring accurate and timely financial records.

Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records and perform general ledger entries. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable. Perform bank and credit card reconciliations. Assist with month-end closing and preparation of financial reports. Monitor invoices, payments, and outstanding balances. Maintain organized accounting documentation and support audit or tax preparation as needed. Utilize Sage accounting software to manage transactions, maintain records, and generate reports. Identify discrepancies and resolve routine accounting issues. Provide general accounting and administrative support as needed. Requirements Previous experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role. Hands-on experience with Sage accounting software required. Working knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other standard office applications. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities. Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
