Muncy Place | Day Shift | Flexible Schedule
Join our dedicated rehabilitation team at Muncy Place and help patients maximize their independence, function, and quality of life. This casual opportunity offers the flexibility to work as needed and as available, with weekend and holiday coverage required based on department needs.
As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you'll work closely with occupational therapists to provide high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals across all stages of life. You'll play an important role in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals while making a meaningful impact every day.
What You'll Do

Deliver skilled occupational therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist and according to physician orders and established plans of care.

Monitor patient progress and communicate treatment responses, changes in condition, and recommendations to the supervising Occupational Therapist.

Implement individualized treatment programs using current clinical knowledge and evidence-based practices.

Provide therapeutic interventions for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients within the scope of practice.

Administer standardized assessments as directed by the Occupational Therapist and accurately document results.

Maintain timely, thorough, and compliant electronic documentation for all services provided.

Collaborate with therapists, nursing staff, patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to support positive patient outcomes.

Supervise and effectively utilize rehabilitation support staff in accordance with state practice regulations.

Complete charge entry and statistical reporting accurately and efficiently.

Rotate between treatment areas and facilities as operational needs require.

Maintain productivity standards while delivering exceptional patient care.

Participate in staff meetings, department initiatives, continuing education, and professional development opportunities.

Provide constructive feedback and assist in supporting departmental operations and patient care excellence.

Schedule: Casual, Day Shift
Weekend & Holiday Requirement: As needed and as available based on department needs.

Required:

Associate degree from an Accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) Program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).

Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license or eligibility for licensure in the practicing state.

NBCOT Certification (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy).
-
Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
-
Ability to work effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan and the ability to provide age-appropriate care.

Ability to analyze and interpret medical records and clinical documentation.

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Preferred:
- Active involvement in occupational therapy or healthcare professional organizations.
Additional Requirements:
-
Completion of all required system, facility, and department orientation and competency requirements.

May work in areas where medications are stored; no direct medication handling is required.
Licensure, Certifications, & Clearances

Current Occupational Therapy Assistant License (or eligible for licensure in the practicing state)

NBCOT Certification

BLS or CPR Certification (American Heart Association-compliant, including hands-on skills demonstration) within 30 days of hire

Act 34 Clearance

OAPSA Clearance
