Salary Range: $24.00 To $27.00 Hourly
Summary:
The Quality Improvement Coordinator will support quality improvement activities related to monitoring, tracking, and follow-up oversight related to incident management and audit functions, including corrective actions, monitoring, and improvement plans to help improve agency compliance. This position will work closely with Operations in notification and monitoring of various types of follow-up to improve agency compliance.
Essential Job Duties:

Coordinates timely incident management and plans of corrective actions processes.

Monitors incident management follow-up and communicates with Operations to ensure timely processing.

Prepare, distribute and submit IRC meeting minutes to IRMA and CEO within established regulatory timeframes to ensure compliance.

Provides tracking and updates to operations leadership related to documentation/follow up necessary for incident completion/closure and audit corrective actions.

Assists with coordination of required incident regulatory requirements including but not limited to preparation of Incident management subject letters and Reports on Actions Taken (OPWDD 148).

Responds and processes record requests in accordance with Mental Hygiene Law, HIPAA, and Jonathan’s Law.

Assists incident investigators as needed (e.g., responding to OPWDD requests, transcription of interviews, etc.).

Reviews new notable events and upgrades as appropriate

Reviews and closes notable events once completed by the operations team.

Perform all other duties relevant to the position as assigned by supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of OPWDD regulations, desired.
-
Excellent reading, written, and verbal communicative skills.
-
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office products (Word & Excel) and Electronic Health Record.

Ability to work independently and with groups

Ability motivate others.
Education and Experience:
All experience and education requirements, except when required by federal, state, or local laws or requirements, may be waived at the discretion of management with the approval of the Chief Operating Officer, in collaboration with Human Resources.

Associate’s degree in Human Services, Business, or related field, preferred.
-
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

Sedentary working environment.

Ability to reach above shoulder level.

Ability to turn/twist upper body.

Able to use hand repetitive action for fine manipulating, keyboarding and typing.
