As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Loss Prevention in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with guests, team members, and leadership while responding to routine concerns with integrity, reliability, and a people-first approach. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to customers, team members, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.

• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.

• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail store, entryways, parking areas, loading areas, and surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized behavior.

• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity while supporting loss prevention efforts and reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.

• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and location management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.

• Customer service experience is preferred.

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

• A guard card or license is preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
