Overview

Help Microsoft Business Operations (MBO) turn vendor spend and supplier-performance data into better decisions. Within Global Vendor Delivery & Solutions, you will partner with Finance, Procurement and vendor owners to explain financial trends, assess business outcomes and improve reporting across a global vendor ecosystem.

You provide analysis and reporting support. Financial controls, technical platforms, budgets, supplier relationships and commercial or investment decisions remain with their accountable owners.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a consolidated view of vendor actuals, forecasts, plans and commitments. Investigate material variances, spend patterns and financial risks with Finance, Procurement, Service Delivery, Contract Owners and support period-end validation and reconciliation.

  • Coordinate supplier-performance inputs and analyze agreed KPIs, SLAs, quality and productivity measures. Link trends to spend and business outcomes, and support supplier owners in investigating recurring issues.

  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and scorecards that highlight trends and exceptions. Partner with data owners and technical teams on consistent metrics, reusable data models and reliable reporting.

  • Provide timely, concise insights for governance and leadership discussions, highlighting risks, opportunities and recommended actions. Track agreed follow-up with accountable owners and answer analytical questions.

  • Check data quality, investigate inconsistencies with data owners, and document sources, definitions, assumptions and limitations to keep financial and operational reporting accurate and transparent.

  • Simplify duplicate reporting and identify automation opportunities, partnering with business and technical teams to implement improvements. Use approved Copilot and AI tools responsibly, validating outputs against approved sources and following security and privacy requirements.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 4+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in business, financial, vendor or supplier-performance analysis, or a related analytical role, with the ability to identify trends, anomalies and underlying drivers.

  • Demonstrated Excel skills for working with complex datasets, reconciling information and analyzing financial and operational trends.

  • Experience creating dashboards and data visualizations with Power BI or a comparable business-intelligence tool.

  • Ability to communicate actionable insights, collaborate across a distributed organization, and manage recurring reporting deadlines and competing priorities while maintaining data accuracy.

  • Experience in vendor management, procurement, outsourcing or supplier governance, including KPI/SLA frameworks and corrective-action tracking.

  • Advanced Power BI capabilities, such as Power Query, DAX, reusable data models and calculated measures.

  • Familiarity with approved Copilot, Power Automate, Microsoft Fabric or similar tools, or experience improving recurring reporting through automation.
