Generous Sign-On Bonus Opportunities

Qualified Respiratory Therapists may be eligible for:

• $15,000 Sign-On Bonus for therapists with 0-1 year of experience (2-year full-time commitment)

• $20,000 Sign-On Bonus for therapists with 1+ years of experience (2-year full-time commitment)

• Additional $10,000 Retention Incentive available upon completion of a third year of employment*

• Prorated sign-on bonuses available for part-time positions

What You'll Do

As a Respiratory Therapist, you'll provide critical respiratory care services under physician direction, utilizing advanced technology and evidence-based practices to support patients with cardiopulmonary conditions.

Responsibilities include:

• Assessing patients and reviewing clinical data to determine respiratory care needs

• Administering respiratory therapies and medications

• Operating and monitoring ventilators and other respiratory equipment

• Performing pulmonary diagnostic testing and therapeutic procedures

• Responding to emergency situations and assisting with ventilated patient transport

• Collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams

• Maintaining accurate patient documentation

• Supporting the education and development of students and new staff

Candidates will be placed into the appropriate Respiratory Therapist career ladder level based on experience, education, and licensure. Compensation will be aligned with the selected career ladder position.

What You'll Do:

As a Respiratory Therapist, you'll play a vital role in delivering life-saving care to patients with cardiopulmonary conditions. Working under physician direction, you'll provide therapy, monitor patient progress, and operate advanced equipment to support respiratory health across all patient populations and service areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patient needs by reviewing prescriptions, lab results, and clinical data

• Administer respiratory treatments and medications safely and effectively

• Set up and operate ventilators, aerosol generators, and other respiratory devices

• Monitor and adjust equipment to ensure optimal therapy outcomes

• Respond to emergency situations and assist in transporting ventilated patients

• Perform pulmonary function tests and bronchopulmonary drainage

• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

• Train and supervise students and new staff

• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate and adjust treatment plans

Education & Credentials:

• Graduate of a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Care program

• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), meeting AHA standards (must include both didactic and hands-on skills demonstration within 30 days of hire)

• Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)

• Note: Therapists who earned their RRT credential after July 1, 2002 must maintain active certification per NBRC requirements

Licensure & Clearances:

• CPR/BLS Certification (AHA-compliant)

• Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license or Osteopathic Respiratory Care license

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential

• Act 33 Clearance (with renewal)

• Act 34 Clearance (with renewal)

• Act 73 FBI Clearance (with renewal)
