Technician- Maintenance II USA (C Crew/AM Shift)

Basic Job Functions: - Performs, as directed, all necessary maintenance of the facility, equipment, and grounds, in a timely and cost-efficient manner. Education/Experience: - High school diploma/GED and 3+ years maintenance experience, OR - High school diploma/GED and 5+ years of experience in a related field, OR - High school diploma/GED and 2-year technical school and 3+ years experience. - Journeymans Card from an accredited apprentice ship program preferred. Required Skills/Competencies: - Knowledge of manufacturing equipment. - Knowledge of computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). - Knowledge of CMMS is a plus but not required if coming in from the outside. Internal candidates need to know the CMMS system. - Project Leader experiences a plus. - Proven Communications Skills - Ability to read prints and suggest modifications as required. - Proven Electro/Mechanical skills. - Knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical, Vacuum Systems and Robotic. - Ability to follow Safe Work Practices. - Full understanding of LOTO - Ability to work independently with no supervision. - Capable of troubleshooting to the systems level. - Full knowledge of all PMs - Must be capable of pulling reports and entering data or pass downs into/from the CMMS system. Essential Responsibilities: - Accomplishes daily assignments as scheduled and as directed. - Performs the on-site service and repair of equipment. - Must meet at least 90% of Estimated Repair Times. - Collaborates with other departments. - Follows standard OSHA, EPA, and Company safe practices on all work assignments. - Identifies and recommends opportunities for cost savings. - May be asked to train other employees. - If no tech III is available may be asked to fill in as Team Lead. - Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings and technical manuals. - Responsible for adherence to all safety procedures, good housekeeping standards, and the wearing of PPE. - Notify EHS Department if there are questions or concerns with the management of hazardous waste. - Responsible to manage waste generated from any work that is performed. - Other duties as assigned. - Job description subject to change at any time. Reporting Relationships: - This position will not have direct reports. Travel: - No travel is required. - If hired during plant start up, you will be expected to travel to other First Solar locations for training. Estimated Salary Range: - 25.50 - 32.69, Hourly US Physical Requirements: - Will sit, stand, or walk short distances for up to 12 hours per day. - Will climb stairs or steps on a frequent basis. - Will lift up to 58 pounds on an occasional basis, according to work instruction. - Will lift up to 37 pounds on a frequent basis. - Will push or pull up to 50 pounds of force on an occasional basis. - Will push or pull up to 37 pounds of force on a frequent basis. - Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis. - 20/40 vision in each eye separately and both eyes (with or without correction), the ability to distinguish between red, yellow, and green and peripheral vision >70 degrees is required. - May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis. - May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis. - Must comply with all safety standards and procedures. - Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including, but not limited to: steel-toed shoes, cut-resistant gloves, jackets, aprons and/or arm guards, safety glasses or goggles, hearing protection and respirators) as a condition of employment and continued employment (requires little or no facial hai ).
