Registered Nurse (RN) – In-Home Assessments & Wound Care
Home Helpers Home Care | Flexible, Per-Assessment / Per-Visit Schedule
Home Helpers Home Care is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide in-home client assessments and wound care visits on a flexible, per-assessment/per-visit basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RN looking for flexible work that can fit around an existing schedule.
Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive in-home assessments.

Evaluate clients' care needs and overall condition.

Complete accurate clinical assessments and documentation.
-
Perform wound assessments and wound care when applicable.
-
Monitor wounds for signs of infection, drainage, skin changes, and healing progress.

Communicate assessment and wound care findings to the office and appropriate healthcare providers.
-
Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and compassion when working with clients and families.
-
Complete documentation and assignments within required timeframes.

Work independently while following applicable policies, procedures, and nursing standards.
Requirements
-
Active and valid RN license in good standing.
-
Minimum of 3 years of professional caregiving or nursing/RN experience required.

RN license held for a minimum of 3 years preferred.
-
Home care, geriatric care, case management, or assessment experience preferred.

Wound care experience is a plus.

Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills.

Ability to work independently.

Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client homes.
-
Professional and comfortable working with clients and their families in a home setting.

Ability to maintain client confidentiality.
-
Daytime or flexible evening availability.
-
Willingness to be available for assessment opportunities.
-
Flexible schedule and ability to accommodate varying appointment times.

Ability to respond promptly to scheduling requests.
Schedule & Flexibility
This is a per-assessment/per-visit position, not a traditional part-time or full-time position.
There are no set weekly hours. RNs will receive opportunities based on client needs, location, and their availability.
The ideal candidate is:

Flexible with appointment times.

Available during daytime or evening hours.

Able to accept assignments based on availability.

Responsive to scheduling requests.

Comfortable traveling to clients' homes within the service area.
