About the Role Picogrid is seeking a detail-oriented Site Operations Associate to support security operations for a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) project. The Site Operations Associate serves as the first line of access control at the facility, ensuring that only authorized personnel enter and exit and that all movement is accurately tracked and reported. This role requires strong judgment, clear communication, and consistent adherence to security protocols.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as the entry point control POC, controlling and monitoring all ingress and egress at the facility entrance.

Maintain continuous communication with the SCIF project point of contact and headquarters throughout each shift.

Maintain and update the list of authorized visitors and personnel, verifying access eligibility before entry is granted.

Positively identify all personnel entering and exiting the facility, and record entry and exit times in the access log.

Conduct identification checks and recognize violations of security protocol, documenting and reporting them according to established procedures.

Communicate professionally and effectively with personnel requesting access, including explaining access requirements and escorting procedures.

Notify supervision immediately of any breach, attempted breach, or suspicious activity at the entry point.

Support shift turnover by briefing incoming personnel on access activity, open issues, and any incidents.

Diligent and detail-oriented. You check every ID carefully, keep accurate logs, and don't cut corners.

Calm and clear in communication. You can be polite but firm with visitors and speak up right away when something seems off.

Able to stay alert. You can remain focused and attentive through long or quiet shifts.

Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. Must be able to operate a computer and other standard office equipment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, 80%.
Compensation & Benefits Employment type: Temporary, W-2, non-exempt
