Full job description

The Michigan Civil Service Commission is looking for a human resource professional to serve the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA). The DMVA Human Resources (HR) Office is searching for a Human Resources Generalist to join their team in a collaborative, customer focused environment. The selected candidate will be responsible for all professional HR activities which includes classifying job duties, staffing vacant positions, compensation, and performance management for assigned DMVA worksites which support the Michigan National Guard, Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency and the Michigan Veterans Homes. The ideal candidate for this position is a lifelong learner with a strong customer-service background, excellent communication skills, and prior experience in human resources and/or a degree in the field. Must work collaboratively with others and manage competing deadlines.

Position Description: Human Resources Analyst

In office training will be required for this position. Once training is complete, pending operational needs, a hybrid option is available. Hybrid options are subject to change per state guidelines at any time.

This position generally requires the education acquired through possession of a bachelor's degree in any major. Specific information on the education and experience required for different class levels is in the job specifications of the Human Resources Analyst class
