Full job description

Launch your software career with a company built to do exactly that.

SkillStorm develops technology talent for Fortune 100 enterprises and U.S. government agencies. You'll start with 12 weeks of paid, hands-on training on real, team-based projects, then deploy straight to an enterprise or government client, productive from day one. This isn't a program you pay for. It's a paid position with a clear path from "qualified" to "deployed professional."

We're looking for people at the start of their technical careers, including recent graduates, career changers with a technical background, and transitioning service members and veterans, who have the fundamentals, bring the drive, and want a structured route into enterprise software work.

Are you eligible? You probably are if you meet these:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or similar)

  • At least 1 year of technical work experience

You'll also need a working grasp of programming fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, databases and SQL, and software development in an object-oriented language like Java or C#.

Every applicant who meets one of these paths gets an individual review for fit. Not sure if you qualify? Apply anyway. That decision is ours to make, so don't rule yourself out.

You'll stand out if you bring:

  • Strong problem-solving and logical reasoning skills

  • Clear written and verbal communication with teammates and stakeholders

  • The ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance

  • Willingness to relocate for a client placement

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. as a SkillStorm W2 employee (C2C arrangements are not available)

Veterans and transitioning service members: Structured training, a clear mission, clearance-eligible work, and relocation support. This model is designed around the way you already work, and we actively want you in this pipeline.

Once you're deployed, you'll:

  • Build and improve applications using your client's languages, frameworks, and tools

  • Write clean, efficient, well-organized code that meets professional standards

  • Troubleshoot and resolve defects, and provide technical support

  • Take part in code reviews, both giving and receiving constructive feedback

  • Work with stakeholders to turn business requirements into technical specifications

  • Support testing and production deployments, and keep technical documentation current

  • Stay sharp on industry tools and techniques through ongoing training

Why candidates choose SkillStorm:

  • Competitive salary, paid from day one with no training costs on your end

  • Enterprise-grade technology training and certifications

  • Placement with Fortune 100 companies and government agencies

  • Health, vision, dental, and life insurance, plus a 401(k)

  • Ongoing mentorship and support through training and placement
