Senior Project Manager- Food Safety

Job Description

We are seeking a strong Project Manager with a background in Food Safety to join our team. This individual will be a strategic leader who can effectively operate at the executive level while driving detailed execution across requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment readiness, risk management, governance, and organizational change management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record leading complex system implementations from planning through delivery. Primary Responsibilities will include Program & project leadership, Integration Coordination, Vendor Management, Business Requirements & Process Transformation, Testing Management, Executive Communication & reporting, Risk Decision & Dependency management, Project controls & team organization.

This Project Manager will oversee the implementation of a new Food Safety, Quality & Compliance platform, including Supplier Compliance, Product Recall, Supplier Quality Management, Product Traceability, and related integration workstreams. Serving as the central program lead, this individual will coordinate cross-functional business, technology, vendor, and operational stakeholders to ensure successful execution and delivery within an aggressive project timeline.

Compensation: $75-80/hr Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

• 8+ years of project or program management experience leading large-scale technology implementations.

• Experience managing complex enterprise software implementations involving third-party vendors.

• Experience managing initiatives with multiple integration points, Food Safety + Compliance, quality, or operational platforms.

• Experience overseeing requirements, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and organizational readiness activities.

• Experience supporting executive steering committees and leadership governance forums.

• Demonstrated success delivering in fast-paced environments with demanding timelines, evolving requirements, and difficult stakeholder dynamics.

• Enterprise software implementations

• Supply chain and distribution operations

• Product Recall management, compliance, quality, or traceability programs

• SDLC and Agile delivery methodologies

• Data and integration management

• User acceptance testing, cutover, and deployment readiness

• Strong executive presence and presentation skills.

• Exceptional stakeholder management, negotiation, and conflict resolution capabilities.

• Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority.

• Proven ability to manage difficult stakeholders and competing priorities.

• Excellent organization, analytical thinking, judgment, and decision-making skills.

• Ability to simplify complexity, create structure, and drive action.

• Experience implementing Food Traceability, Supply Chain, or Regulatory platforms.

• SAP program delivery or large ERP transformation experience.

• Food industry, distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain experience.

• PMO leadership or program governance experience.

• PMP certification preferred.

• Experience managing multi-functional implementation teams.
