Full job description
We have an outstanding Contract position for aNetwork Engineer to join a leading Company located in theWashington, DC surrounding area.
Pay Rate: $75- $85/hr
US Citizenship is required.
Candidate must possess an Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
-
5-8 years of hands-on experience in network engineering with a strong emphasis on routing and switching.
-
Experience supporting technical refresh, refresh/replacement, or migration projects.
-
Strong knowledge of Cisco routing and switching platforms.
-
Experience with Cisco ISE and Cisco Catalyst Center.
-
Strong troubleshooting skills across VLANs, trunking, STP, OSPF, BGP, QoS, LACP, ARP, and related network protocols.
-
Familiarity with security concepts in enterprise or DoD environments.
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-
Highly self-motivated and detail-oriented.

Current TS/SCI clearance.

Ability to work onsite daily.

DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.

CCNA and/or CCNP R&S (Preferred).

Hands-on experience with Cisco ISE, Catalyst Center, and enterprise network operations.

Working knowledge of cybersecurity practices as they apply to network environments.

Familiarity with PKI, certificates, RADIUS, LDAP, DNS, DHCP, SSH, and secure network administration.

Strong route and switch experience in enterprise or government environments.
