Summary
About the Position: Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (NTE) one year by a current permanent Army employee. Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time-limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however return rights may be impacted. Position may be made permanent without further competition.
Duties
- Review incident reports for accuracy and compliance with standard operating procedures.
- Coordinate emergency responses with internal and external agencies to maintain public safety.
- Monitor communication systems to provide real-time support to patrol units.
- Train new officers on law enforcement procedures to enhance team performance.
- Direct police operations to ensure timely response to emergencies across the installation.

Current Department of Army Civilian Employees Applying on Time-Limited Assignments In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes:1) Conducting law enforcement patrols to identify violations of federal, state, or military regulations; 2) Preparing incident reports to document criminal activities or complaints accurately; 3) Responding to emergency calls to provide immediate support or de-escalation; AND 4) Guiding junior officers in patrol procedures to ensure compliance with regulations. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
