Summary:
The Director of Business Development is responsible for identifying, developing, and scaling strategic growth opportunities across targeted customer verticals for professional installed security services. This individual will work cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Legal teams to establish partnerships, expand distribution channels, develop new revenue streams, and accelerate growth in key vertical markets. The role combines strategic thinking, partnership development, market analysis, and execution to drive measurable business outcomes for ADT.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead business development efforts focused on strategic growth verticals and emerging customer segments.

Identify, evaluate, and develop new revenue opportunities that expand the adoption of ADT's professionally installed security services.

Build and maintain a robust pipeline of partnerships, channel opportunities, and business development initiatives that support company growth objectives.

Develop business cases, financial models, and market analyses to assess partnership opportunities and investment decisions.

Support contract negotiations and partnership agreements, working closely with Legal and Finance teams to ensure favorable business outcomes.

Identify new distribution channels and customer acquisition opportunities that increase recurring monthly revenue and customer growth.

Track industry trends, competitive dynamics, and evolving customer needs to proactively identify new business opportunities.

Partner with Operations and Monitoring teams to ensure proposed solutions and partnerships can be effectively executed and scaled.

Develop executive presentations and recommendations for senior leadership regarding new growth initiatives and partnership opportunities.

Track, measure, and report performance against key business development, partnership, and growth objectives.

Serve as a cross-functional leader and subject matter expert for assigned growth verticals, helping align stakeholders around strategic priorities.
Requirements:
-
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.

7–10 years of experience in business development, partnerships, strategic planning, or related roles.

Proven track record of developing and executing growth strategies, partnerships, or new business initiatives.

Experience working with recurring revenue businesses, subscription services, monitoring services, telecommunications, security, smart home, healthcare, or adjacent industries preferred.

Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities with experience developing business cases and evaluating partnership economics.

Experience negotiating commercial agreements and managing external partnerships.

Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills.

Ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization without direct authority.

Willingness to travel periodically for partner meetings, industry events, and customer engagements.
Success Measures:

Growth in professional monitoring subscriber acquisition and retention.

Incremental recurring monthly revenue generated through partnerships and vertical initiatives.

Pipeline value and conversion of strategic business development opportunities.

New distribution channels and strategic partnerships launched.
