Position Title: Plumbing & Boiler Plant Supervisor Location: Big Rapids (Main Campus) Department: 55503 - Plumbing Advertised Salary: $76,707. See Job Summary for details on salary placement. Admin / Admin Temp Benefit Plans FLSA: Exempt **Temporary/Continuing: ** Continuing Part-Time/Full-Time: Full-Time Union Group: N/A Term of Position: 12 Month At Will/Just Cause: Just Cause Summary of Position: Provide leadership, oversight, training, performance management, and professional development for the Plumbing and Boiler Plant shops. Supervise and coordinate the work activities of the plumbers and boiler operators engaged in the operations and maintenance of plumbing systems and the Boiler Plant, including steam distribution systems. Operations of the Plant include operating, monitoring, and maintaining plant equipment and plumbing systems to ensure reliable, safe, and efficient operations of the Boiler Plant and campus Plumbing systems. This includes high-pressure boilers and auxiliary equipment that use natural gas as the primary fuel source to ensure continuous, reliable, and critical steam service to facilities located on the Universityâ™s campus. Operations and maintenance of the steam distribution and domestic hot water systems, including operating, monitoring, and maintaining distribution systems.
