Position Purpose:

Coordinates the collection, organization, analysis and communication of technical data related to environmental, health and safety (EHS) programs. Provides support to regulatory reporting functions, EHS operations and corporate EHS and government regulatory audit processes. Projects a professional, service oriented attitude.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinates collection of EHS related technical data for all Gulfstream and sites, including material safety data sheets, chemical usage information and EHS internal/external audit information.

  • Reviews EHS data for accuracy and completeness. Maintains databases related to EHS data in conjunction with internal support (CSC) and external resources, including air emissions data, federal air operating permit data, hazardous chemical personnel exposure information, materials acquisition, groundwater corrective action system performance reporting, soil/groundwater remediation data, industrial waste water permit discharge information, hazardous waste management and minimization programs.

  • Serves as liaison with external technical resources for the efficient communication of EHS related technical data to internal/external customers. Communicates regularly with environmental consultants to facilitate analysis of permit required. data to meet monthly reporting and recordkeeping requirements.

  • Supports administration of ISO/OHSAS and other EHS related intranet resources. Maintains EHS web site using Dreamweaver or similar web-authoring tool.

  • Ensures distribution of EHS audit results and facilitates corrective action program communications, ensuring timely notification of senior management and site personnel.

  • Provides administrative support to EHS reporting requirements, ensures on time completion and submission of multiple federal, state and local regulatory reporting requirements .

  • Coordinates EHS functions in chemical product procurement approval cycle, interacting with Engineering, Planning, and Materials functions at multiple sites.

  • Provides administrative support to Hazardous Materials department including bulk chemical purchases supporting production and product support functions and coordination of multiple vendor contracts relating to environmental consultant services.

  • Contacts administrators, coworkers, employees, customers, vendors, agencies and visitors to schedule and confirm meetings and reservations; exchange and verify information.

Additional Functions:

  • Ensures all corporate policies and regulatory requirements are followed. .

  • Professionally resolve problems (both externally and internally) in a professional, fair and ethical manner. .

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:

  • Must be proficient in the operation of standard office equipment including personal computers and mainframe systems. Requires advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word software programs.

  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, and excellent organizational skills. .

  • Must have highly developed interpersonal skills.

  • Extensive experience with technical computer applications.

  • Experience with CV10 Purchasing system preferred.

  • Experience with OSHA hazard communication standard data retention requirements preferred.

This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
