Full Charge Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to support a retail organization in Irvine, California on a Contract basis. This role is ideal for someone who can independently manage day-to-day accounting activities, maintain accurate financial records, and keep payment and billing processes running smoothly. The position requires strong experience with QuickBooks and a hands-on approach to reconciling accounts, tracking transactions, and supporting overall bookkeeping operations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full bookkeeping cycle, ensuring financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.

• Process vendor invoices, schedule payments, and maintain organized accounts payable records.

• Generate customer invoices, post incoming payments, and follow up on outstanding balances as part of accounts receivable management.

• Reconcile bank statements and internal financial records to identify and resolve discrepancies.

• Maintain and update accounting data within QuickBooks to support accurate reporting and audit readiness.

• Review general ledger activity and support month-end close tasks with careful attention to detail.

• Prepare routine financial summaries and assist leadership with visibility into day-to-day cash activity. Requirements • Proven experience handling full charge bookkeeping responsibilities in a detail-focused setting.

• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks for daily accounting and recordkeeping tasks.

• Hands-on experience managing both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

• Ability to complete bank reconciliations accurately and investigate variances effectively.

• Solid understanding of general bookkeeping principles and financial record maintenance.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

• High level of accuracy, discretion, and attention to detail in financial work.
