Contract Registered Nurse (RN)

Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states. We are seeking a Contract Registered Nurse (RN) in Amarillo, TX to deliver highquality nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in community-based settings. The RN will utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation while collaborating with individuals, families, and interdisciplinary team members. This is a contract position. Hours and scheduling will be determined based on program needs and contract terms. Responsibilities: Clinical Care and Health Management - Provide treatment and health care procedures ordered by a physician and required by professional nursing standards or applicable regulations - Ensure individuals attend medical appointments as outlined in their Individual Support Plan (ISP) - Conduct nursing assessments and follow-up visits as needed - Monitor health and medical conditions of individuals and make referrals for medical services when appropriate - Administer medications and provide medication management as needed - Provide health teaching and support individuals in developing selfcare and safety skills Documentation and Care Coordination - Create and distribute medical/health reports summarizing general health status, goals, and physician recommendations Deve
