Job Duties

Start Date: 11/01/2026

End Date: 03/31/2027

Work hours: 45 hours/week, Monday - Friday, 9 hours/day, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Job Duties:

Workers will be performing job duties related to SOC code 49-3041 Farm Equipment Mechanics and Service Technicians.

Job duties will include but not be limited to: Dismantle defective machines, using hand tools. Record details of repairs made and parts used. Test and replace electrical components and wiring, using test meters, soldering equipment, and hand tools. Examine and listen to equipment, read inspection reports, to locate and diagnose malfunctions. Repair bent or torn sheet metal. Clean and lubricate parts before re-installing. Remove and replace damaged or worn parts. Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications. Dismantle and reassemble equipment using hoists, jack stands, cranes, jacks, blocking supports and other tools. Examine parts for damage or excessive wear; Fit bearings to adjust, fix, or overhaul equipment. Thaw equipment and clean dirt, grease, debris, ice etc. from equipment using power-washer, hoses, rags, heaters and other tools. This work will include dismantling and reassembling tillage tools, planters, seeders, augers, conveyors, diggers, harvesters, wagons, and other stationary and self-propelled machinery. Perform equipment calibrating and final adjustments for machines as necessary.

Minimum Education Required

No High School Diploma or GED required.

Minimum Experience Required

Two (2) months of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed.

Be able to lift up to 75 lbs.

Must speak and understand English.

Must be able to obtain appropriate driver's license following hire and obtain clean driving record.

Job will require exposure to extreme temperatures.

Extensive pushing and pulling is required.

Extensive walking or sitting is required.

Frequent stooping or bending over is required.

Repetitive movements are required.

Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.

Additional Compensation

Employer may, at the company’s sole discretion, pay workers at a rate above the minimum required and/or provide additional compensation such as bonuses, fixed salaries, PTO, insurance, incentive pay, or other benefits to any worker employed under this job order based on lawful, non-discriminatory factors including skill, performance, tenure with the employer, licensing, training, punctuality, or prior related experience.

As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay.

Job Benefits

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.78 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts (Updated 04/07/2026). Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.

Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
