Full Charge Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to support daily accounting operations in Reading, Pennsylvania. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, handling both payables and receivables, and helping ensure the company’s books remain current and reliable. The ideal candidate brings strong QuickBooks experience, sound judgment, and a consistent approach to reconciliations, reporting, and month-end support.

Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end bookkeeping activities by recording financial transactions accurately and keeping accounting records current.

• Handle accounts payable by reviewing vendor invoices, scheduling disbursements, and maintaining well-organized payment documentation.

• Oversee accounts receivable functions, including issuing customer invoices, applying incoming payments, and monitoring past-due balances.

• Perform routine bank reconciliations and research variances to preserve accurate cash reporting.

• Maintain general ledger entries and assist with month-end closing tasks by preparing complete and dependable supporting records.

• Examine accounting information for accuracy and completeness, resolve routine issues, and elevate exceptions when necessary.

• Produce regular financial reports that provide visibility into company activity and support informed business decisions.

• Use QuickBooks to enter, update, and track accounting data while keeping records organized and ready for audit review. Requirements

• Proven experience in full-charge bookkeeping or a closely related accounting role.

• Hands-on proficiency with QuickBooks in a business accounting environment.

• Associates degree in Accounting preferred
