Senior Payroll Tax and Reconciliation Analyst

Schedule: 8:00am-4:30pm but flexible and Hybrid (1-2 days in Philadelphia)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Payroll Tax and Reconciliation Analyst is responsible for the reconciliation of all UPHS payroll tax accounts, and the filing and payment of tax liabilities in compliance with local, state and Federal guidelines. These tasks will be completed on a bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis. The Senior Analyst will ensure Infor, ADP, or current 3rd party vendor all agree. The Senior Analyst will identify and resolve discrepancies. The Senior Analyst manages the W2 process as well. The Senior Payroll Tax and Reconciliation Analyst will reconcile all payroll related general ledger accounts, including the cash account. The Senior Analyst will identify and provide supporting schedules for all variances. The Senior Analyst will also assist in Payroll operations as needed. The Senior Payroll Tax and Reconciliation Analyst is responsible for advising the Director on payroll tax matters including tax compliance and related research.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Reconcile local, state and Federal wages and withholding between the Payroll application and the general ledger. Reconcile payroll related account activity to the general ledger, provide supporting schedules for all variances, and resolve reconciling items.

  • Responsible for the payroll tax liabilities including the planning, filing and the reporting of tax liability of the business. Prepare, file and initiate payment for all payroll related taxes in accordance with local, state and Federal guidelines and schedules

  • Monitor and reconcile all W2 related schedules (Infor, ADP, others). Ensure W2 reporting is accurate and all data is reported in the correct box.

  • Responsible for reporting and compliance function to ensure the accurate and timely completion of payroll tax returns by ADP and to meet the payroll tax reporting obligations of the organization; Point of Contact to resolve tax notices with tax authorities

  • Collaborate with Accounting to support and troubleshoot bank reconciliations

  • Conduct tax-related research and support projects that have payroll tax implications; Identify government reporting regulations impacting payroll and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll

  • Works directly with Infor and ADP on testing, and troubleshooting integrations between Infor and ADP for purposes of W2's, Quarterly Taxes, Periodic Taxes, and Garnishments.

  • Support Payroll Operations as needed

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Req Bachelor's Degree Finance, management or related And 5+ years Payroll Tax Experience

  • Req 5+ years In-House Corporate Payroll Experience

  • Pref 5+ years Working for a large company (>10K employees)

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
