We are seeking a Mental Health Professional II / Mobile Crisis Supervisor who is motivated to help individuals and families navigate life's challenges and achieve long-term wellness. This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (BHDD) - Office of Mental Health, Catawba Community Mental Health Center (CCMHC), 205 Piedmont Blvd, Suite 100, Rock Hill, SC 29732. Under the limited supervision of the Clinic Director, you will provide clinical supervision and oversight of the Mobile Crisis Mental Health Professionals working during the day and afterhours for Catawba Community Mental Health Center's (CCMHC) catchment area to provide guidance and direction with disposition and best level of care for the patient and ensure continuity of care for patients seen by Mobile Crisis. Responsibilities for the Mental Health Professional II / Mobile Crisis Supervisor:

  • Provide clinical supervision and oversight of Mobile Crisis Mental Health Professionals working during the day and afterhours. Assure staff are making accurate clinical decisions in the community in determining level or care, disposition, and safety planning.

  • Assure the monthly schedule for Mobile Crisis is completed with coverage for each shift.

  • Provide guidance and supervision of all crisis calls made through the call center who are referred for follow-up with CCMHC

  • Provide emergency assessments of clients experiencing crisis.

  • Conduct face-to-face consultations as needed, arriving onsite no later than 60 minutes after the receipt of the call.

  • Participate in on-call rotation for daytime and afterhours shifts. Ensure that there is adequate coverage for all Mobile Crisis shifts.

  • Provide triage, crisis intervention, assessment and therapy services as part of the York Adult Intake / Triage team.

  • Attend and participate in Treatment Team meetings / staffings, including staffings with Medical Doctors at CCMHC.

  • Master's degree in guidance, counseling, or social science, or a related field and professional experience in a mental health program.

  • Three (3) years of post-master's experience in a clinical counseling program.

Additional Requirements:• Ability to lift 5 lbs.

  • Must maintain a valid driver's license.

  • This is a Monday - Friday schedule which will also require working afterhours during the week, holidays, and also weekend coverage which will be rotated among clinicians and supervisor staff.

  • In order to be credentialed for core services as a Mental Health Professional at the SC Office of Mental Health, applicants must be able to provide evidence of clinical experience providing direct patient care. This experience may be documented as a practicum or internship during graduate program, or post-graduate experience.   • Supervisory experience.

  • Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.

Post hire, you must:

  • Be able to pass CPR and Managing Agitation in the Psychiatric Setting (MAPS) Certification.
  • Be able to operate a state vehicle.
  • Be able to work a flexible schedule and know this position in considered essential and may be called back during crises / disasters / emergencies.
