Job Title: Electrical EngineerJob Description

This role offers an experienced Electrical Engineer the opportunity to design, document, and test advanced digital circuit cards from concept through integration and verification. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary development team to create highquality hardware designs, produce robust documentation, and ensure successful integration and testing of complex electronic systems using industryleading tools.

Responsibilities

  • Design, document, and test digital circuit cards in support of complex electronic systems.

  • Develop detailed specification documentation during the design phase to clearly define design requirements and performance expectations.

  • Capture electrical schematics accurately using industry-standard electronic design automation tools.

  • Collaborate with the broader development team to define design approaches, resolve technical issues, and align on project objectives and milestones.

  • Generate circuit card design data, including design artifacts, models, and supporting documentation required for review and release.

  • Plan, develop, and execute design verification tests to confirm that digital circuit cards meet functional, performance, and reliability requirements.

  • Perform integration activities, including bringing up hardware, troubleshooting issues, and refining designs based on test and integration findings.

  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for design, integration, and test activities to support configuration control and future maintenance.

  • Use required tools such as HyperLynx, Ansys HFSS, and Xpedition to perform signal integrity, electromagnetic, and layout-related analyses.

  • Support continuous improvement of design processes, tools, and methods by sharing best practices and lessons learned with the engineering team.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in an engineering or related technical discipline (Level 4: BS).

  • At least 10 years of experience using HyperLynx (Siemens) for tasks such as signal integrity, power integrity, or related analyses.

  • At least 10 years of experience using Ansys HFSS for high-frequency structure simulation or electromagnetic analysis.

  • At least 10 years of experience using Xpedition (Siemens) for schematic capture and/or PCB layout design.

  • Proven experience designing, documenting, and testing digital circuit cards for complex electronic systems.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop specification documentation and accurately capture electrical schematics.

  • Experience planning and performing design verification tests and interpreting test results to validate hardware performance.

  • Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional development teams throughout the design, integration, and test lifecycle.

  • Capability to produce clear, complete, and well-structured engineering documentation to support reviews and configuration management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working in environments that use structured time charging systems such as Fieldglass.

  • Background in full lifecycle hardware development, from requirements and design through integration and verification testing.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving hardware and integration issues.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a schedule-driven engineering environment.

  • Interest in potential conversion to a full-time employment opportunity, subject to business needs and performance.

Work Environment

This position is an onsite, full-time role where the engineer works closely with a broader development team in a collaborative engineering environment. The role follows a 4/10 schedule on first shift, providing four ten-hour workdays each week. The position is classified as exempt and does not include per diem or expense allowances. Work is performed in a structured setting that uses a formal time charging system (Fieldglass) and established engineering processes. The environment emphasizes hands-on work with digital circuit cards, including design, integration, and test activities using tools such as HyperLynx, Ansys HFSS, and Xpedition. The role is designated as nonsafety-sensitive and does not require a security clearance. Dress expectations align with a professional engineering setting appropriate for onsite laboratory and office work.
